A man was invited to the home of some friends for dinner. The food was superb except for the apple pie. Even so, he found something good to say about the pie.
Several weeks later, the man visited the friends again for dinner. This time, they had a cheery pie that was absolutely delicious. But the visitor didn't say one word about it. This bothered the hostess, so she finally blurted out," The last time you were here, I served you a pie that I was ashamed of, yet you were complimentary. Tonight I've served what I think is the best pie I've ever made, and you haven't said a word. Why?"
The man smiled and replied," The cheery pie tonight was fantastic, and the apple pie you served last time was not as good as this one. So you see, the apple pie needed more praise!"
Our relationships with people are like that - some need more encouragement than others. No matter how imperfect a person may seems or how poorly he performs, we should always try to find something to commend. All around us are discouraged people, perhaps even in our homes, who need "a good word" from us to cheer them up.
[I felt a little guilty after reading this. I could have been more encouragous alot of times (in school especially) but I failed to be. Nvm, I shall improve. Let's all look for ways to give those who needed some encouragement. (instead of all the gossip)]

FINALLY I left one more to go. Cell Communication on Monday. And after that I will be choked to death by all the project presentations.
Had NewYork NewYork at Hub for lunch. It was not bad, had 14 of us there. Had lotsa fun making the candy floss ourselves. We concluded that Huiling is not a very good candy floss maker. LOL! We asked her to turn the chopstick when collecting the floss like how u use a fork to eat spaghetti but she end up twisting her hand instead. Kinda cute tho :D
TRANSFORMERS is so uber exciting alright! Jiawen, Hanzhong, Aloy, Wilson and me went to watch it after lunch. CATCH IT YOU WONT REGRET! Heh, I like the name StarScream, especially in chinese. Its called 星星叫! I still can't get over it! It's really hilarious okay! I think of it and I can laugh at it all over again. That's how hilarious it is. The rest of the bad guys are Megatron, Barricade, Blackout and Frenzy (that punynoisyirritatingcunning fellow). The good ones are Bumble Bee (rocks!), Optimus Prime, Jazz, Ironhide and Ratchet. The worldwideweb and ebay thingy is kinda funny too (:
Many times in relationships, you often think what's the purpose of your partner/boyfriend/girlfriend in your life such as what this person can do for you now and in the future, whether the this person has fulfilled or passed the 'criteria' to be your the other half, whether this person is handsome/pretty, trustworthy, humorous, caring, patient, forgiving etc enough or not.... But how many times do you think the other way round? What's the purpose of YOURSELF in his/her life? What can YOU do for him/her now and in the future? This is indeed a good question to ponder about. This is just one of the many things I learnt from church camp recently.

Okay great. A quick summary before I lose the mood to blog. Went for a brother-in-christ's Commission Ball at Grand Hyatt Hotel just now. Real fun and cool! This place totally reminds me of my graduation night in secondary school. The most interesting part was that one of the guys actually proposed to his 3 years 9 months girlfriend right infront of everyone in the ballroom. How romantic... :D The plan was made known to everyone except for his gf (obviously) before the dinner started.
She was sabotaged to the stage to 'play' a game and being blindfolded.
As she was blindfolded and 'playing' the game, the guys quickly form the wordings on the floor just infront of the stage using light sticks. Lights went switched off. It was really a beautiful scene.. Everybody gathered around the stage, like a small indoor stadium. Haha.
Mok, who proposed, sang a song (专属天使) to her..
She heard it and took off her blindfold.
Mok knelt infront of her and said a speech of romantic stuff with the ring on his hand. As he say 'Will you marry me?', the other guys at the floor also knelt down and repeated 'Will you marry me?'.
The girl accepted! :D
However, Mok placed the ring on the right hand instead of the left. LOL Too nervous I guess.
Everybody requested that they should kiss!
And they live happily ever after! (:
I guess the girl was too touched and stunned to say anything.
Cos she was so shy to even thank everybody. Haha..

I was supposed to be in school today at 10am for tutorials but I woke up at 1045am. Realised that I was too tired yesterday night and fell asleep with my handphone in my hand. Went to school at 12 for another tutorial tho. Anyway, it was quite a waste of time :l I was feeling so sleepy throughout.
Some people came to me after tutorials and made some interesting comments. I thought it was quite funny especially the 'pluck rose' part said by Daniel. Creative thinking. haha..
I told myself that I must wake up at 5pm to revise my work before my afternoon nap jus now. But I woke up630pm instead. Checked my phone and realised I set my alarm at 5am. How nice...
I kinda panicked for 5.467 seconds immediately after I woke up thinking that its already friday morning and spent another 3.723 seconds thinking whether am I late for tutorial again. Feel so retarded as I recall and that I actually blog this out. LOL
Oh btw, yanyan biscuit is nice.. But not the one with cheese cream [eeks] I feel hungry again -._-
I must believe that I possess the supernatural power at all times!! It's rather difficult I realised ):

GOSH! joshua SHAYDEN IS SO SUPER DUPER UBER CUTE! :D This is one of Fiona's nephews if I never remember wrongly. She got too many little kids in her family, I can't remember who is who already. HAHA. Oh well, that's not the main point here.
joshua Shayden IS CUTE (: This is the song occasionally I will sing in south canteen before lunch. Huiling and Fiona always refused to sing with me ): Shayden is smart! He knows when does the 'yum yum' comes in the song and when to say 'Amen'.

Emerge! Youth Conference '07 - I CAN DO ALL THINGS
This is definitely the most exciting and fulfilling 4 days I enjoyed this year! The preaching of the Word by Pastor Kong is sooo annointing, inspiring and encouraging! For the past 4 days, I have been waking up very early just to travel to Expo, meet my church mates, queue up together under the extremely warm weather, crack lame jokes, skipped proper meals, 'chiong' to get good seats and most importantly we worshipped and learnt alot together.
Before the whole conference, I actually only planned to go for 2 days because there are simply too many plans and school work to deal with. However after the first day, I was so touched and decided to just put all my plans and school work aside, slow down my pace of life and just enjoy the presence of the Lord for these 4 days. How much I wish I can have this kind of event everyday.. maybe just 1 hour daily would be enough :D
Thru out the 4 days, I'm so physically worn out (esp now), but I am so spiritually filled and satisfied. The experience I encountered through this conference is undescribleable with words.
I really hope that fire in me to serve God will continue and persist.
To 'boring' and 'valentine': I'm so touched by the 2 of you (: You guys are my prayer answered! God will surely bless both of you so abundantly and we shall pray together and impact those friends around us okay! You know who I mean la. Haha! For the Bible says in Matt 18:19-20 "Again, I tell you that if two of you agree on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."
I wanna wanna wanna tell you guys what I have learnt! But my mana left 0.1%. I bet there are many grammer vocab mistakes above. haha but who cares?! :D
